Kelly Thompson Clark, IOM
Kelly Thompson Clark joined the Maryland Chamber of Commerce as executive vice president of finance and operations in the fall of 2016. Clark comes to the Maryland Chamber of Commerce with a proven track record of success managing board and association objectives, previously representing more than 110,000 Massachusetts workers and 1,500 members for 13 years as president & CEO of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce. Clark has established successful programs for young professionals while fostering external relationships among and between the business community, educational partners, municipal and political leaders throughout the Boston area, and with public and private organizations while leading the Cambridge Chamber.
Prior to that position, Clark was the Cambridge Chamber's drector of membership services. She held the same position for the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce in Wilmington, Delaware, before her time in Cambridge. Clark has also been a consultant for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and was vice president of marketing, member programs and services for the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce in New Mexico.
A skilled communicator with advocacy and public policy experience, Clark will use the breadth and depth of her leadership, managerial, marketing and public relations skills working to improve the business climate in Maryland.
Clark is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organizational Management (IOM). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in education from Radcliffe College in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
