The Annual Meeting is the Maryland Chamber’s largest networking event of the year, attracting hundreds of the regions top CEOs and senior executives.

Keynote Speaker

Byron Pitts, CBS Chief National News Correspondent Emmy award winning journalist and Baltimore native Byron Pitts is Chief National Correspondent for “The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” and “60 Minutes” contributor. At age 12, he was diagnosed as functionally illiterate. He also suffered from a severe stuttering problem until he was 20. He has overcome a childhood filled with obstacles to achieve extraordinary success, and he chronicled his story in his book, “Step Out on Nothing.” Autographed copies of his book will be provided at the dinner to all attendees.

2010 Michael D. Hankin Award for Conservation
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will present the 2010 Michael D. Hankin Award for Conservation during the Annual Meeting. The award, which will be presented by Zoo President Donald P. Huthchinson, recognizes outstanding commitment by an individual to wildlife conservation.
