Maryland Chamber of Commerce Annual Core
Events
Business Day in Annapolis
Each January, on the second day of the Maryland General Assembly
session, the Maryland Chamber brings together hundreds of the state’s
business leaders and elected officials for Business Day in Annapolis.
Attend this day-long event to promote the Chamber’s Business Agenda to
key state government decision-makers. During the Leadership Briefing,
the Governor and the Democratic and Republican leaders from both houses
of the General Assembly are invited to share their agendas. The briefing
is followed by a reception to which all members of the Maryland General
Assembly are invited to interact with Chamber members and discuss the
public policy issues that matter to Maryland’s business community.
Congressional Delegation Dinner
This annual event, held each February, connects Chamber members with
the state’s congressional delegation to discuss the federal issues that
impact Maryland’s business community. Each member of the delegation
briefs attendees on the issues they are working. Attendees learn how the
delegation works together, across party lines, to get results for
Maryland.
Annual Membership Meeting and Business Hall of
Fame Awards Dinner
Held each Spring, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting
is a “must attend” event for the state’s top CEOs, business executives
and elected officials. This event is the Chamber’s premier networking
event of the year, attracting hundreds of the region’s top decision
makers. In addition, each year the Chamber honors the accomplishments of
select business executives and entrepreneurs by inducting them into the
Maryland Business Hall of Fame.
Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon
The Maryland Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon recognizes the dedication, innovation and
entrepreneurial spirit displayed by small businesses throughout the
state. Held each June, this event features the networking opportunities, a small business trade show, and the Small Business of the Year Awards program.
Business Policy Conference
Held each October, the Business Policy Conference is the premier
business-related public policy conference in the state, attracting
business executives, Administration officials and legislative leaders.
Attendees gain a greater understanding of public policy issues that
affect the state’s business community through a series of keynote
speakers and issue workshops featuring expert panelists.
Other Annual Events
Joint Networking Breakfasts

participates with a number of other business organizations to hold Joint
Networking Breakfasts. These breakfasts present a unique opportunity to
network, exchange ideas and build a strong list of business contacts
with members of the state’s prominent business organizations. Be sure to
bring a good supply of business cards.
