Strategic Factory prints stuff. Big stuff. Little stuff. Envelopes. Letters. Brochures. Programs. Signs of all shapes and sizes. Even realistic, if one-dimensional, life-sized cutouts of humans. There’s almost nothing you could want printed that Strategic Factory can’t do. That means literal lots of paper products and ink.

The Maryland Commission on Civil Rights released guidance for employers to comply with Chapters 547 and 548 of the 2013 Acts of the Maryland General Assembly, enacted on October 1, which require all employers to provide reasonable accommodations to pregnant employees, if their pregnancy causes or contributes to a disability, and does not impose an undue hardship to the employer.

Maryland Chamber Board Chairman Tom Graham of Pepco Holdings, Inc., has announced a national search is underway to replace the Chamber’s current President/CEO Kathy Snyder who is retiring June 30.

The Maryland Chamber of Commerce has identified changing the estate tax as one of its priorities for the General Assembly session this year.

Tax credits for the film and cybersecurity industries could expand as part of the legislative session that starts Wednesday.

The Maryland Chamber debuted a new Environmental Conference last month. Launching a new event is never easy, but the conference was a success thanks to the hard work of Katie Maloney of Maloney & Associates and John Quinn of BGE.

Within the next month or so Kathleen T. Snyder expects to present lawmakers with a suggested blueprint for business and economic growth in Maryland. 

Kathleen T. Snyder, the long-term executive of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, has announced she will retire June 30, 2014. Snyder has served as President/CEO of the statewide chamber since October 1999.
