Meet the Chamber

Jessica Hicks joined the Maryland Chamber of Commerce in June 2024 and currently serves as Director of Strategic Events and Programming.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Jess gained over 10 years of experience in the event management and marketing industry. She comes to the chamber after spending five years with Adtalem Global Education where she managed ceremonial events and internal meetings for Walden University and Chamberlain University. She previously worked in the sports management industry as a sanctioning manager for USA Lacrosse and a tournament director for Corrigan Sports Enterprises. Her passion lies in finding creative solutions and creative cohesive and impactful event experiences.

Jess grew up in Brandywine, Md. and attended high school in Calvert County. Throughout those years, she excelled at lacrosse, where she later played at George Washington University while pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Business. Jess currently lives in Baltimore with her wife and two cats, and enjoys functional fitness, cooking, drawing, and watching live music in her spare time.

In regards to what brought her to the event management and marketing fields, Jess mentions that “since high school, I wanted to be in events. It's fun to see a complex project come together.”
