A $7.2 million overhaul for Camden’s MARC train station

Maryland Chamber of Commerce member, the Maryland Transit Administration, will partner with Maryland Stadium Authority on the $7.2 million renovation of the MARC train station outside Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

The station, used daily for commuters travelling between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., will be developed into a more permanent structure. Michael Helta, project development manager with MTA, said the state never had the funds to build a permanent structure—until now.

Officials with the Maryland Stadium Authority are looking for the new station to be complimentary to the look of the Warehouse at Camden Yards.
