For a better tomorrow
The Maryland Chamber Foundation’s Advisory Groups convene quarterly to discuss best practices, strategies and needs within their industry/sector. The Telecommunications, Human Resources and Rural Advisory Groups’ focus is to address what the next 20 years look like for these industries and sectors, and how these communities can proactively shape those years.
The Maryland Chamber Foundation brings together stakeholders in the telecommunications sector to discuss public policy concerns and address them as a unit instead of individual interests. Last legislative session, the Maryland Chamber lobbied on five bills (including cross-files) in this area that could have major implications in the State of Maryland. This year, there are several more. The Telecommunications Advisory Group meets for quarterly meetings to address the legislation MDCC has worked on and see what direction we should take in the future.
What are your greatest human resources concerns? The list is one that can keep business owners up at night.
The Maryland Chamber Foundation is addressing those concerns through quarterly meetings with the Human Resources Advisory Group. HR representatives from organizations of all sizes and sectors convene to address their latest policy concerns in the state.
Maryland has been described as “America in Miniature” because of the variety in all types of terrain. While the state’s variety makes it great, it also presents certain challenges for Marylanders doing business in rural portions of the state.
The Foundation brings together business leaders from rural parts of Maryland to discuss their unique public policy concerns. The Rural Advisory Group meets quarterly to address Maryland’s future in these areas and how public policy can influence that future.
