Reflecting on 2024 Issues
2024 STATE ISSUE
Business Taxes
With ongoing budget uncertainties, our focus was on advocating for responsible government spending and balanced fiscal strategies to support economic stability. For 2025, we will continue to emphasize the importance of policies that foster job creation without imposing undue burdens on businesses.
2024 STATE ISSUE
Transportation Funding Solutions
Efforts to address the sustainability of the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF) were key in 2024. As electric vehicle adoption increases, our 2025 agenda will seek innovative funding solutions to ensure the TTF remains robust and capable of supporting Maryland’s infrastructure needs.
2024 STATE ISSUE
Data Privacy
We supported a comprehensive approach to data privacy, advocating for a clear set of rules across the state. Moving forward, we will continue to push for consistent and enforceable data privacy policies to benefit businesses and consumers alike.
2024 STATE ISSUE
Military Retirement Relief
Our 2024 efforts to eliminate the state income tax on military retirement pay aimed at retaining veterans in Maryland. For 2025, we will build on this momentum to address workforce challenges and enhance our state’s appeal to military retirees.
2024 STATE ISSUE
Increasing Child Care Availability
With a focus on expanding child care facilities to support workforce participation, we will continue to prioritize this issue in 2025. Addressing the cost and availability of childcare remains crucial for overcoming workforce shortages and supporting Maryland’s economic growth.
