Chamber Hosts Annual Maryland Business Reception

The Maryland Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Maryland Business Reception the evening of January 20th at the Loews Hotel in Annapolis. The evening provided the opportunity for Chamber members to mingle with decision makers and get involved in business issues. Those attending demonstrated that the business community cares about the political process and engages in it.

The high point of the evening’s program was remarks by House Speaker Michael Busch. Speaker Busch touched on several key areas involved in building a better business climate in Maryland:

Speaker Busch also highlighted areas poised for growth, including the Port of Baltimore and the Sparrows Point/Bethlehem Steel site.

The evening’s program concluded with a video presentation on Tax Reform, one of several issues the Chamber is focusing on for the 2016 General Assembly session.
