MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Sheela Murthy, Murthy Law Firm

Founded in 1994, the Murthy Law Firm practices U.S. immigration law exclusively, focusing on employment-based immigration. The firm is led by CEO and Founder Sheela Murthy, who has long been a proponent for entrepreneurship. Murthy currently sits on the Maryland Chamber Foundation board as the immediate past president, and was a member and past president of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce board until 2018. The Murthy Law Firm now ranks among the top 20 largest women-owned businesses in the Greater Baltimore area, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

“I love the value of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and how they are the voice of business,” said Sheela Murthy. “Most small to medium businesses cannot afford to hire a full time lobbyist to lobby and explain our concerns with legislators. Having the Maryland Chamber taking care of our business issues helps us to take care of our business and focus on surviving and growing. Thank you Maryland Chamber for all that you do to make business stronger in our state.”
