(Annapolis, Md. – November 7, 2016) – The Maryland Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Laura Toraldo as its director of marketing and communications. Toraldo comes to the Maryland Chamber from National Geographic, where she worked for nearly 10 years—most recently as their multimedia editor.
Toraldo brings over a decade of communications experience to the Chamber. During her tenure at National Geographic, Toraldo also held the positions of editorial coordinator and photographic liaison. Prior to National Geographic, Toraldo worked as a staff reporter for Coastal Point, a newspaper out of Ocean View, DE.
Toraldo joins the Maryland Chamber of Commerce with a plethora of global experience from her time at National Geographic.
A bilingual communications professional with a wealth of international experience, Toraldo brings a unique skill set to the Chamber, one that will without a doubt aid the Chamber in continuing to be the leading voice for business in Maryland.
Toraldo is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a diploma in digital design –as well as attending the social media masterclass with David Merman Scott. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a journalism concentration from the University of Delaware.
