Corporate philanthropy: Three Greater Baltimore companies share their approach

(July 25, 2018—BALTIMORE, Md.) Strong communities lead to more empowered individuals and stronger economies. However, corporate philanthropy can take many forms. Some organizations hone in on supporting specific issues while others donate time and energy to community needs. Regardless of approach, many companies in Greater Baltimore have engrained philanthropic giving into their missions.

Three companies in the Baltimore region have been named top corporate philanthropists in the country including, Exelon Corp., Thrivent Financial and T. Rowe Price Group Inc. Each company has its own focuses, from volunteering with Big Brothers Sisters to pro bono business consults for nonprofits, but one thing is consistent—they work to better the communities in which they work and live.
