Crystal Steel Fabricators to open Eastern Shore plant

A Delaware steel fabricator said Wednesday it plans to open a new manufacturing plant in Caroline County, bringing on 126 people in the next two years.

Crystal Steel Fabricators, a family-owned business that started in 1992, purchased a former ES Steel building in the Frank Adams Industrial Park in Federalsburg last month for $1.3 million, according to land records. The facility will be the company’s first in Maryland.
