DLA Piper’s Anthony Ashton Named to Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service Board

Anthony Ashton, a Partner with DLA Piper, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service. He will serve as Secretary for fiscal year 2015.

Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service provides free and low cost legal representation to Marylanders with limited income. MVLA also provides free legal help for community-based nonprofits that are working to strengthen low-income communities in Maryland.

Ashton practices in the area of securities and business litigation. He also serves as the Chair of DLA Piper’s African American/Black Affinity Group, and heads the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the Firm’s Baltimore offices.
