Highlights include:

  • A room full of 300+ fellow Marylanders ready to network in a relaxed setting
  • Inspirational award presentation, with the opportunity to meet and hear from about standout Maryland businesses
  • Access to a premium outdoor lounge directly on the iconic Baltimore Harbor
  • Top-shelf cuisine and a fantastic bar selection
  • A dynamic photo booth and a waterfront professional head shot station
  • A “Taste of Maryland” from various local breweries, wineries and distilleries
  • Chalk art wall and a “Creation Station” where guests customize a take-home gift…and so much more!

Without a doubt, you will walk away from this event feeling truly energized, inspired and proud to be a part of our incredible Maryland business community.

Inspire MD Award Winners

For the last 22 years, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce has held our annual business awards, now known as Inspire MD, to honor the incredible members of our Maryland business community.

Business Hall of Fame Inductees

Prominent CEOs and leaders are inducted into the prestigious Maryland Business Hall of Fame for their outstanding leadership and contribution to Maryland business and communities. The contributions of these individuals go well beyond the bottom line. They are the best in Maryland’s business community and prioritize their civic and philanthropic duties. They are masters of leadership and bring not only their businesses greater success through their hard work and dedication, but also their employees, communities and colleagues. This year we honor:

Donald C. Fry, President & CEO, Greater Baltimore Committee
For nearly two decades, Don has led the Greater Baltimore Committee, the private-sector business advocacy group, and recently announced he will retire in June 2022. The group advocates on behalf of the Baltimore region on issues of economic growth, job creation, workforce development and transportation.

Mary Ann Scully, Former CEO, Howard Bank
A lifelong banker, co-founder and former chief executive officer of Howard Bank/Bancorp, Mary Ann is a successful entrepreneur and “intrapreneur.” She started, scaled and sold a financial service company with significant regional brand recognition and impact. Earlier this week, Mary Ann was named the next dean of the Rev. Joseph A. Sellinger, S.J., School of Business and Management at Loyola University Maryland.

Public Service Award

The Public Service Award honors a singular outstanding public servant for her or his contributions to help advance Maryland’s economy and quality of life. Without question, this is an elite but essential group of dedicated individuals. This year we honor:

The Honorable Larry Hogan, Governor of Maryland
During his two terms, Governor Larry Hogan has distinguished himself as an outstanding public servant working to advance Maryland’s economy and quality of life. We honor his contributions to the business community, education, creating opportunity and enriching the quality of life for Marylanders. Governor Hogan will be accepting this award virtually.

Rising Star Award

The Rising Star Award honors a motivated future leader, age 40 or under, inspiring today’s business community. This individual is driven and willing to do the hard work to propel their business, employees or colleagues, and community to even greater success.

Sriram Manivannan, Vice President of Product Development, Vorbeck Materials Corp.
