Webinar | Architects of Opportunity: Maryland Chamber Foundation Teacher Externship Program

A webinar discussion led by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond

Join us as we explore how bridges are being built between educators and businesses. There is an undeniable desire within all sectors of the Maryland business community to partner with educators across our state to share the opportunities for competitive wage jobs with students with disadvantaged backgrounds.

In three short years the Maryland Chamber Foundation has grown its Teacher Externship Program by 733%, from three teachers who participated in the 2019 pilot year, to a resounding 25 teachers in 2021. During this live discussion, we will hear from Whitney Harmel, Vice President of Development for the Maryland Chamber Foundation, Andy Bauer, Vice President & Regional Executive at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, along with several teacher externs and a current host company. All panelists have experienced first-hand the power of this program and the opportunities created for students when educators and businesses collaborate.
