The Maryland Chamber Foundation in partnership with BGE presents the fourth installment of the webinar series promoting equity and inclusion in the workplace

Webinar | Driving Business and Organization Impact through ERG Programs and Initiatives

Establishing a strong Employee Resource Program (ERGs) is essential for an organization to work towards an inclusive company culture. Employee Resource Groups are voluntary, employee-led groups who join together based on shared interests, backgrounds or demographics in order to develop best practices to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. These groups work together with the organizations they serve to create a cohesive work environment where differences, cultures and values are not only embraced but celebrated.

ERGs are a strategic business resource an organization can utilize to address cultural challenges. Many companies have ERG programs to empower and support community groups within their organization, successfully driving results, building relationships and contributing to professional development.

Learn how to maintain a culture of empowerment and community by:

  • Building a sense of community through the creation of an open forum for employees to share and support one another.
  • Identifying gaps in your organizations’ talent pipeline and learn how leaders are developing innovative solutions to increase talent engagement, professional development and retention.
  • Providing a resource to leadership and decision-makers regarding the diversity of staff and community issues, needs, and policies.

This webinar will share insights on how to utilize ERGs to drive business growth, align with your organizational mission, increase employee engagement while developing future leaders, as well as promoting inclusion in the workplace.
