The Frederick County Chamber’s Board of Directors selected Elizabeth Cromwell as its next President and CEO. Cromwell currently serves as the Corporate and Community Partnerships Director for the Frederick County Public Libraries, a position she has held for the last 12 years.
“Our selection of Elizabeth was the result of a nationwide six-month search that yielded 74 resumes and a topflight field of final candidates,” said Josh Bokee, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Our overarching goal throughout the search process was to find the leader who could take the Chamber to the next level. Elizabeth exceeded our expectations and that’s what made her the unanimous choice of our Search Committee.”
“I would like to thank the Board for their confidence in me, and everyone involved in the search for their time and dedication to the Chamber. I can’t wait to get started and begin building on the strong foundation that I’m honored to inherit,” said Cromwell, incoming President and CEO.
Today’s vote by the Board of Directors was preceded by a unanimous recommendation from the Board’s Executive Committee. The Executive Committee made its recommendation after the Search Committee, composed of five former or current board members, unanimously selected Cromwell from a field of final candidates.
