Hogan administration to make available $38.4 million in grants for local roads

Governor Larry Hogan is making available $38.4 million in grants for local roads. The Maryland Department of Transportation has released an application for the grants, and jurisdictions have until August 31 to submit their application.

The $38.4 million in grants are on top of the estimated $177 million Maryland municipalities and counties will receive in 2018. The new grant funds for local roads are in addition to Maryland’s current $8 billion, six-year investment in state roads and bridges.
