Maryland lost thousands of private sector jobs last month, even though public sector jobs increased.
The Maryland Chamber of Commerce works to improve and expand private sector jobs, bolstering the state’s economy.
“It’s great that we’ve gained nearly 100,000 jobs in two years, but we can’t afford to lose private sector jobs,” said Chamber President & CEO Christine Ross. “It’s particularly a shame in leisure and hospitality, since we’re coming into prime tourism season.”
