Leadership for a new decade

Blog post by Christine Ross

Christine Ross, the president and CEO of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, has 20 years of leadership experience in the business community. She is a visionary coalition builder guiding the Maryland Chamber’s efforts to improve competitiveness, attract and retain talent, grow jobs, engage the community and provide legislative advocacy.

Last week I had the pleasure of announcing the full slate of business leaders who will serve on the Maryland Chamber’s board of directors. Ten of them are brand new to the board and are joining a talented existing group of leaders.

As Maryland businesses and employees face unprecedented hardships in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, I have full confidence that these leaders will play an integral role in helping to get our economy restarted, and trust their expertise will guide and support businesses of all sizes across the state through the recovery process and into a new decade of growth.

The complete board slate is as follows:

(Starred names indicate new board members, while the remainder are current board members returning for an additional term.)

If you haven’t already, please take a moment to listen to our interview with new board member Misty Allen, vice president of government and regulatory affairs and community impact at Comcast, to learn how Comcast is keeping its customers connected and supporting the community during this global crisis.

The interview is part of our Member Spotlight series, which showcases members of the Maryland Chamber who are emerging as leaders in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Their stories of strength and ingenuity are an inspiration during a time of hardship, and I am proud to call them members of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
