Legislative Leaders to Establish Task Force on Business Climate

Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller and House Speaker Michael E. Busch will name a task force to address issues related to Maryland’s business climate. 

Speaking during the Maryland Business Reception on January 16, Busch said the task force will be chaired by someone in the private sector and comprised of representatives from the private sector, economic development groups and the Maryland General Assembly. The task force will review issues related to the business climate in Maryland and make recommendation to Maryland’s next governor. Busch said the task force will make recommendations related to:

The work of this task force will compliment the work already being done by the Business Climate Workgroup, c0-chaired by Del. John Bohanan and Del. Galen Claggett.
