The Maryland Chamber of Commerce, as part of its annual Business Policy & Competitiveness Conference, is hosting a Senatorial Candidate Forum on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 12:00 – 1:30 pm at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, MD.
With less than two months before candidates Chris Van Hollen (D), Kathy Szeliga (R) and Margaret Flowers (Green) face off in a general election for Barbara Mikulski’s U.S. Senate seat, this forum will be a chance to hear what the candidates think of the “business” of Maryland.
The candidates will answer questions on the topics of transportation, workforce and federal regulations and energy production. The Senatorial Candidate Forum will be moderated by Robby Sheehan, Deputy Chief of Staff, Director of Government and Community Relations with Salisbury University.
(Note: All three candidates were invited to attend, Kathy Szeliga and Margaret Flowers have accepted the invitation. Chris Van Hollen will be sending a campaign surrogate – Bill Parsons, the Congressman’s former chief of staff – due to prior scheduling commitments.)
