The Maryland Chamber debuted a new Environmental Conference last month. Launching a new event is never easy, but the conference was a success thanks to the hard work of Katie Maloney of Maloney & Associates and John Quinn of BGE. Maloney and Quinn helped Maryland Chamber staff organize the conference. They also served as moderators during the event.
As co-chairs of the Maryland Chamber’s Energy and Environment Committee, Maloney and Quinn have been busy. In November, the committee met with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Region III Administrator Shawn Garvin. In addition to the Environmental Conference in December, the committee also held its annual meeting with the leadership of the Maryland Department of the Environment.
Katie and John continuously volunteer their time and expertise to help the Chamber and its members understand complicated environmental issues. Each week during the session, the Environment Committee reviews legislation and makes recommendations to the Chamber’s Legislative Committee.
Thanks, Katie and John, for all your hard work and support!
