Peter P. Parvis and William M. Davidow, Jr., lawyers with more than 35 years of experience each, have joined Miles & Stockbridge P.C. as principals in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group.
“Pete and Bill are tremendous additions to our firm and our corporate practice,” said John B. Frisch, chairman and chief executive officer of Miles & Stockbridge. “They bring decades of business law experience to their work with clients across the mid-Atlantic region and further deepen our capabilities, particularly in the health care industry.”
Parvis, who works in the firm’s Towson office, represents hospitals, the state hospital association and other organizations, long-term care and other institutional providers, physicians and other health care entities across the spectrum of corporate, governance and health care regulatory matters. He also has represented pharmaceutical and life sciences companies, a national pharmacy and optical chain, and insurance companies on health care matters.
Davidow, who works in the firm’s Baltimore office, represents clients in the full spectrum of business and corporate law matters — from entity creation and capital raising to tax planning and mergers and acquisitions. His clients have included government contractors in the defense industry, technology companies and construction companies. He also offers significant experience in the health care industry and has counseled hospitals, physician-hospital joint ventures, medical practices, continuing care retirement communities, and other multi-entity health care systems.
