Paul Tiburzi, the Managing Partner of DLA Piper’s Baltimore office was appointed Chairman of the Commissioner’s Business Executive Advisory Council by Baltimore City Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts. This group consists of business leaders who will support and advise the Commissioner and the Baltimore City Police Department on business practices to improve the department’s efficiencies and effectiveness.
Paul is chair of DLA Piper’s State Legislative and Public Policy Practice. He focuses his practice on public law, sports litigation and appellate litigation, serving as Maryland legislative counsel to many Fortune 500 companies.
“Rebuilding trust and partnership with all of our communities is vital in reducing violent crime,” said Police Commissioner Anthony Batts. “Our business communities are valuable partners in helping to create a safer Baltimore; they bring new business practices to improve technologies and public-private partnerships.
