Maryland Chamber Drives Policy Discussion, Brings Back Business Policy Conference

August 12, 2015

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Maryland Chamber of Commerce Business Policy Conference is making a return for 2015. The Conference will be held October 13-14 at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina in Cambridge, MD and we are pleased to announce AT&T as our Presenting Sponsor. As the premier business-related public policy conference in Maryland, the Business Policy Conference attracts hundreds of business executives, administration officials and legislative leaders.

Those who attend gain a greater understanding of the public policy issues that impact the state’s business community, specifically those on the horizon for the 2016 General Assembly session including:

– Employment Policy
– Energy and Environmental Policy
– Workforce Readiness Policy
– Business Tax Policy
– Transportation Infrastructure Policy
– Tort Reform Policy

“The Chamber’s Business Policy Conference brings together in one place the key players that drive the 2016 General Assembly session.  The conversations focus on what we all need to know – how State policy will affect business in Maryland,” said Brien Poffenberger, President/CEO of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

Whether you are interested in advocacy, staying informed about key policy issues, making the right connections to promote your company and/or networking, the Business Policy Conference is the place to be.

“It is through events like the Business Policy Conference that the Chamber and the Competitiveness Coalition can be most effective.  It is the shared understanding that collaboration and cooperation yield results.  Assembling the policy makers and the business leaders together ensures that our members concerns are heard; that we all speak with a united voice, further solidifying the Chamber as the leading voice for business in Maryland,” added Sheela Murphy, chair of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

In celebration of the return of the Business Policy Conference the Chamber is offering Early Bird throw-back pricing. Register before August 28 and enjoy 2011 Early Bird pricing (the last year the Business Policy Conference was held at the Hyatt).
