Stanek to be the Public Service Commission chair

BREAKING NEWS

(June 20, 2018, ANNAPOLIS, Md.) As of today, the Public Service Commission will have a new incoming chair. Governor Larry Hogan announced Jason M. Stanek will hold the title. The PSC regulates public utilities and certain passenger transportation companies that do business in Maryland.  Stanek will fill the position currently held by W. Kevin Hughes, who is stepping down effective June 30, 2018.

“Jason Stanek’s impressive career working in positions related to energy and utility policy demonstrates his vast experience and understanding of these complex issues,” said Governor Hogan in a breaking press release. “He is knowledgeable in nearly every aspect of the utility industry, and I have no doubt that he will serve Maryland well in this new role.”
