Stephen Woerner named chair of United Way of Central Maryland

(January 30, 2018 – BALTIMORE, Md.) – As the president and chief operating officer of BGE and the vice chair of the Maryland Chamber board, Stephen Woerner is a talented leader and a voice for positive change. In his newest role as chair of United Way of Central Maryland’s board of directors, he will continue to provide leadership and support to the community.

Woerner will help support and sustain the organization’s work in various capacities, according to the official press release by United Way of Central Maryland. His responsibilities include setting direction for the nonprofit, ensuring results, representing the United Way in the community, and guiding the board of directors.

“United Way is a local entity that brings people together to solve the most complex problems facing communities,” Woerner said. “Our goal is to continue identifying real solutions to address the challenges that are facing our community on a daily basis.”
